The Central Housing and Planning Authority has published a list of 612 applicants in Region 4 for the period 1996 to 2001. The applicants listed kindly ask to visit our Brickdam and United Nations Place to have their interviews conducted.

Applicants will be dealt in three batches from Friday, March 9th to Sunday, March 11, 2018.

Applicants are asked to walk with the following documents: Valid identification card or passport; Recent job letter, pay slip or affidavit of income for self-employed applicants; Birth certificate of children; Marriage certificate or absolute and TIN Certificate. This is applicable to applicants and their co-applicants.

Lists can be found at all Post Offices and GPL Locations in Region 4, our Facebook Page and website www.chpa.gov.gy. This process allows us to sanitize and update our database with the preferred housing solution of each applicant.

The works, which are being conducted in phases, is part of the government’s ‘Housing Solution, 2017 and Beyond’ project.

Buildings under construction in the Sophia/Cummings Lodge squatting area will be demolished within two-weeks. This was disclosed on Tuesday by the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lelon Saul during an inspection and assessment of ‘A’ and ‘C’ fields Sophia and Cumming Lodge areas particularly the buffer-zone.

The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) is collaborating with a number of agencies, to ensure that those residents squatting at Broad and Lombard Streets are reintegrated into a wholesome community.

Some 266 notices were served to persons squatting on government’s reserve in Sophia, by the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA), today. The notification specifies that they have until January 30, 2018, to remove their structures from the reserves.

The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) received positive responses from Lethem residents, when they hosted a one-stop shop, to allocate house lots during the Lethem Town Week.
