Ministry of Housing to Launch Monthly Outreach Initiative in Hubs Outside of Regional Offices
In a direct effort to enhance service delivery and bring essential government services to remote communities, the Ministry of Housing -Central Housing and Planning Authority is proud to announce a new monthly outreach program.
Starting this month, the CH&PA will conduct routine visits to areas located outside the immediate reach of regional offices. This initiative is designed to significantly reduce travel time and expenses for citizens while streamlining operations at all regional hubs.
The Region 10 Regional Housing Office will kick start this initiative with the first visit scheduled for March 20th, 2026, in Kwakwani. For the remainder of the year, these visits are strategically proposed to take place following the monthly pay dates to ensure maximum convenience and accessibility for residents.
Residents of Kwakwani and surrounding areas will be able to access a comprehensive suite of housing services without the need to travel to Linden or Georgetown. The visiting team will facilitate first time application interviews, updates for existing applications, while a dedicated cashier will be on-site to accept housing-related payments. Additionally, the team will manage the distribution of titles to expedite the legal ownership process and address any other general inquiries or issues regarding housing matters.

To ensure a seamless experience, technical staff including surveyors will also be apart of the team.
