Corentyne Residents to Benefit from Monthly Housing Outreach Programme
March 24, 2026 — Residents along the Corentyne in Region Six will soon benefit from improved access to housing services, as the Ministry of Housing, through the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA), commences monthly outreach activities in the area from March 25, 2026.
This initiative is designed to significantly reduce the need for residents to travel to the Regional Housing Office in New Amsterdam, offering a more convenient and cost-effective alternative for conducting housing-related transactions. Matters concerning allottees in No. 75 and No. 76 Villages will also be addressed.
Outreach sessions will be held on the last Wednesday of each month for the remainder of the year.

A range of key services will be available during these engagements, including interviews for first-time applicants, updates for existing applicants, processing of payments for allocations, and the distribution of Certificates of Title. Additionally, surveyors and other technical personnel will be present to provide guidance and address related queries.
The rollout of these services in Region Six builds on similar efforts undertaken in Kwakwani, Region Ten, where monthly outreaches commenced on March 20, 2026. Through this expanded approach, the Ministry continues to advance its commitment to improving service delivery and ensuring greater accessibility for citizens across Guyana.
